She's back! The historic Lettie G. Erie returns to the Historic Ashtabula Harbor this weekend for Wine & Walleye 2026. Lettie G. Howard is one of the last surviving wooden Fredonia-style fishing schooners. Built in Essex, Massachusetts in 1893, she spent decades fishing the Northeast Atlantic and Gulf coasts before finding a home at the South Street Seaport Museum in New York City in 1968. She was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1989 and restored to her original 1893 appearance during a two-year rebuild in the 1990s.

During Wine & Walleye, Lettie sails from the wharf along Morton Street, just northwest of the Ashtabula Lift Bridge and across from US Coast Guard Station Ashtabula. It's a beautiful sail for the whole family.
