Just some mercantile policy reminders:
1. All sales are FINAL, please be sure of your purchase (measurements and such). Please note: I do my best to test light strings and battery operated candles at the time of purchase, but if I don't and they are defective, I will exchange them only.
2. NO public restroom is available. There is a Sheetz gas station less than a mile up the highway, please plan accordingly.
3. Gift Vouchers are available. They can be written in any amount and clearly have my information printed on them. Please note: they are good for ONE year and the FULL amount must be redeemed at one time. Any attempt at altering the amount or date will result in it be voided.
4. I do take multpile forms of payment. This includes: cash, credit or debit cards, and personal checks (only IN-STATE PA checks accepted). There is a $20 fee for any check returned to my bank. Any person who issues a bad check will have to pay by cash or card going forward. I do NOT take Apple pay or pay-by-phone as these result in higher fees for me. When in doubt, bring cash!
5. My hours are always clearly posted outside my door, on social media, on Google, and on my answering machine (724-603-3150). Rarely does something come up and I have to close, but unfortunately it can happen like a loss of power. I do my absolute best to remain consistent Tuesday through Saturday. With that said, I am ALWAYS closed on Mondays, except the Monday before Christmas depending on how it falls in the week. I am ALWAYS closed from December 24th through the first Tuesday of March. (I am sorry, but I will not meet up with anyone during that time. And not because I am on vacation but because I use that time for many of the background chores that you don’t see.)
6. The merc is my personal shop where I own the inventory. It is not a craft mall. I make and bake as well as pick out every item in every room. I am always willing to talk with crafter about what they have but it doesn't always work out due to fit and cost.
Every inch of the merc is personal to me and I work hard to keep it an enjoyable old-fashioned shopping experience for you. My annual events are like a thank you to my customers because without you and I wouldn't be here. Thank you for your support and kindness. -the bizy peddler
