Below is a piece of Hard Maple Burl I picked up today. This is locally sourced from an urban forester who removes trees and then re-purposes the lumber.

The beauty and character of such lumber is magnificent. Hunting it down from hundreds of pieces of lumber is quite a fun challenge and very rewarding once the wood is created into a piece of art.
