Seeing how my last Pine cone pattern was on a dowel,I figured I would put it to practical use and apply it to one of my old striper rods. Since it had a 7.5 mm offset taper so I had no way to close it. Even experimenting with a little 10lb P-line fluorocarbon ( vanishes after epoxy) to accentuate the pattern.
I have a long way to go on decorative wraps, but I am pleased with my progression. -Greg-

This is my first attempt at a closed wrap in pine cone pattern, even though it looks more like a fish :) Need to perfect packing but those pesky line jumps will be the downfall of me.
