Yesterday morning, we helped our sweet Luna cross over.

It has been a hard journey, and the absence she leaves behind is immense. She was family. Truly family. The kind of soul woven into the rhythm of daily life so deeply that the silence afterward feels almost unreal.

People often ask me, as an animal communicator, “Will I know when it’s time?” or “How do I know if I’m doing the right thing?”

And the truth is…our animals tell us.

Yesterday morning, Luna came to us and let us know it was time. Not with words, but with that deep soul-knowing our animals share when we are willing to listen with more than our ears.

As my husband, son, and I sat with her, our other two cats, Nyx and Hieronymus, came into the room too. The six of us together. One small sacred moment held in grief, love, honor, and gratitude for having shared this life with one another.

And still…even knowing all of this, even understanding death and spirit and animal communication the way I do…I am grieving deeply. I am questioning things. I am hurting.

That is normal.

Loving them means grieving them.

If you have ever had to make this choice for an animal you love, please know this: questioning yourself does not mean you failed them. Hurting does not mean you did something wrong. Grief is not proof of guilt. It is proof of love.

Sometimes the greatest act of love we can offer is to carry their pain so they no longer have to.

Run wild, sweet Luna. Thank you for finding us in this lifetime. I love you.
