Working on a table/chairs set for the first time in a long time!

This Jacobean Revival set was made by Angelus Furniture Manufacturing Company in Los Angeles, CA in May 1927. I️ couldn’t bring myself to paint it, so I just restored the finish with Wise Owl Furniture Salve and reupholstered the seat.

The chair shown is now my desk chair, but the remaining four chairs and table will become our dining set. I️ don’t plan to paint those either, but I’ll reupholster with different fabric.

The coolest part about this project? Check out the upholstery before’s and after’s - I️ think the blue floral was probably installed in the 1940s, and the maroon appears to be the original fabric from 1927.

We’re Back!!

The last six months brought the About Face Production Line to a temporary halt as Lindsey attended military training.

Additionally, in September, we excitedly confirmed that Ashlie is pregnant! She is currently 6.5 months along with our first baby, a boy, due in June!

Despite the constant excitement and impending addition to our lives, new products will be available soon!

After cleaning and sanding this table top, we were left with a very rustic, driftwood look with lots of dings, and some discoloration that only comes with age!

This table top will be stained with a medium dark walnut color, but we have a question:

For all of you who follow AFF and our , would you prefer to buy this table with a rustic table top, full of character, or one that looks brand new?
