LET’S PLAY! Game, socialize, and build a sense of community and joy together at Diversions for our FREE Second Sunday Social!

Whether you bring your friends or show up solo, you'll have a fun time gathering around a game with friendly faces. Gaming is FREE for folks who check-in between 2-5PM, no matter how long you stay and game!

We’ll have nametags available and ‘Join Us’ signs on most tables to make it easy to meet, greet, and play! Join our greeting game as you arrive — featuring one of our party-style games — to easily jump in and meet others. When you’re ready to try another game, our staff will be available for game recommendations, assistance with setup, or learning new games.

Making new friends can be hard, but make it a little easier by sharing a game together!

Sean and Nolan are taking a much needed break for a week or so, but Jack will be ready to welcome you in for an afternoon of gaming, a friend group game night complete with your favorite snack and new games, or your special occasion rental in our private gaming room!

And if you're worried about the heat, fear not -- we had a great visit from AAA Mechanical Contractors recently and we're keeping a breezy 70° during open hours!

And an extra enthusiastic thank you to Jack for covering the shop while we're gone -- we couldn't take this break without his support!

Join game designer, gaming enthusiast, and librarian, Victor, for a three-part mini-series in board game design. No design experience required – curious minds welcome!

Each three hour session will offer a lecture/discussion portion, followed by a collaborative game jam, where small groups will be provided the materials to develop a game from scratch. The sessions are planned as:
-- July 12 – Game History and Jam Brainstorm
-- July 26 – Design Elements and Workshopping
-- August 9 – Jam Wrap-up and Playtesting

Sessions will run 2-5PM on these dates and will be FREE to attend! Attendance at every session is encouraged, but not required; attendees are encouraged to RSVP on Aftergame to help us plan for an adequate amount of space and materials.

Already have a game design in progress? Bring it to our next game design meetup on August 1st, 7-10PM!
