🖼️🎨You saw their art, now let’s put some faces to their names! We would like to officially introduce you to Jennifer Fox and Martie Rector !

Jennifer is a paint sculptor based in Concord, North Carolina. She got her start in the art industry after she failed at growing her own garden, and decided she would instead learn how to build flowers with paint! Each piece has incredible texture, depth, and vibrant colors, resulting in pieces of art that tell a beautiful story. 

Martie Rector is our second new artist this month who happens to be based in the Cornelius neighborhood! For Martie, drawing and art has been a part of who she was since childhood. She graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors in Fine Art and a Masters in Fine Arts in Education from the University of Rio Grande. When she moved to North Carolina in 2023, she began taking lessons in oil painting and continued to foster her studies at the Holt School of Fine Art. Her still life’s tend to be whimsical and primitive, and her landscapes tend towards the abstract with a loose and layered style. She says her painting style is fluid and still evolving and we can’t wait to see where it goes!
