What if we cared enough to make plastics illegal or at least if it must be, charge a big "core charge" price for the plastic body? Did you know that only 8% of plastic put in the "recycle bin" are actually recycled? Do we really need to care that humans survive? I think so, what do you think?

Ancient wisdom included fermentation. Clay vessels were used or rocks were hollowed out. Many can be found among the ruins of ancient civilizations. Fermentation was very common until the invention of the refrigerator. I love Dr. Knobbe's work on seed oils but I do find it interesting that about the time seed oils began to enter the diet, the fridge became very common. Our lack of using fermented foods is much more important than is acknowledged although some have made statements that the refrigerator was one of the most negative turns of human health. Sounds nuts but think about it. Here is a great lecture by Dr. Bikman. Look up his bio and I think you will find him well credentialed.

I am going to do the math and then start this vest. Have to use my Bond Knitting Machine so should be done fast. Wish my arm was better or I would just whittle me a few lol. Need warmth this winter because we need to reduce the power consumption. Just going to use my handspun wool yarn and do a regular knit stitch then a little embroidery. I never knew how to crochet backwards so plan on doing the edging she does...looks great and boy do I have a bunch of different yarns around here. Being a spinner that happens. Also I am sewing some country dresses to wear my wool underlayer over for everyday wear. Anyway prepping for winter at 100 degrees but that is what we do in this climate.

I found these lids on Amazon and they are fantastic. They have a silicone ring that sits inside the groove so it stays in place but is easy to remove for cleaning. I am trying very hard to leave plastic behind but metal lids rings, if they are not stainless steel, constantly stick so hard even overnight that I can't get them off. I am constantly going and getting Matt and even he struggles getting them off. I don't need that hassle and with fermenting and storing foods in wide mouth canning jars, the food doesn't touch the lid anyway...... I was happy to see that Amazon has actually paid me the last few months. Wasn't a ton as my books are newer and I have no reviews but I have sold 40.... it is a start. I have 17 books published on Amazon. Some were pretty simple but a few of them took weeks. The puzzle books are pretty involved to get them right.
