Marich Music is bringing the Band Instrument Petting Zoo to the market this Thursday, Aug 27, 10 AM–2 PM. Kids can walk right up and try a real trumpet, trombone, flute, clarinet, or sax — no experience, no pressure, no cost.

Quick summer PSA from the repair bench: don't leave your instrument in a hot car. 🌡️🎸

A closed-up car in July can hit 130°+ inside. That heat lifts bridges, warps necks, softens glue joints, and dries out woodwinds — and we see every bit of it roll through the shop this time of year.

Trunk or back seat for “just a few minutes” is how it starts. If it's already happened, bring it in — we'll tell you straight whether it's an easy fix.

What a day. 🎶 A week out from Make Music Day Corning, and we're still smiling.

Thank you to every performer who signed up, every volunteer who made it run, and everyone who came downtown to listen. Market Street was full of music all day — the drum circle, the kazoo choir, kids at the karaoke, the open mic, free guitar lessons and the instrument petting zoo right here at Marich, and pop-up players on every corner.

That's what community sounds like. We can't wait to do it again next year. 🎸🥁🎺

We're live. 🎶 Make Music Day is happening right now on Market Street.

The drum circle's warming up at Centerway, the petting zoo opens at 11:30 at Marich, and there's music popping up all the way down the block. Come find a sound you like and stay a while.

🅿️ Free street parking and the downtown lots; early afternoon is the busiest, liveliest stretch.
🕙 First music at 10am, last set wraps around 8pm.
🎤 Open mic 6–8pm at Centerway — and it's never too late to grab a spot.
