After more than 35 years as a cherished Corolla staple, Michael’s Gem and Glass is entering a thrilling new chapter! Originally established in 1990 as the first rock and mineral retail shop on the Outer Banks, this beloved store has shared amazing treasures with locals and visitors alike — from crystals and fossils to unique jewelry and gifts.
We’re beyond excited to announce that I, Keith Cox, am the new owner of Michael’s Gem and Glass! It’s an honor to continue the legacy this shop has built in TimBuck II Shopping Center and to bring my own passion and vision for community, adventure, and discovery to this special place.
For years, this store has brought wonder and joy to those who explore the Outer Banks — and that tradition isn’t going anywhere. I’m committed to preserving that spirit while also introducing new ideas, fresh energy, and a welcoming space where both longtime fans and new friends can experience the magic of natural treasures.
