CHG has a new Lorcana Champ 🏆 Our Attack of the Vine Set Championship brought out some serious competition, and after a day of great matches, Hector Arano 24klorcana came out on top! He took home the Champion playmat and foil Rapunzel promo, with our Top 8 also scoring exclusive foil promos. Huge congratulations to Hector and everyone who competed! POV: your local game store is packing up and taking the goods on the road. 👀 Critical Hit Games will be vending at Strategicon’s Gateway 2026 this Labor Day Weekend, September 4–7, at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport! We’re bringing a chunk of our inventory with us, so if the shelves at the shop are looking a little lighter than usual this weekend… this is where it went. The store will still be OPEN, so you can shop local or come find us in the Dealer Room at Gateway. 🎲 See you at the con!

We’ve got a BIG restock of MTG The Hobbit with Play Boosters, Collector Boosters and Dragon Shield accessories, plus new Pokémon Ultra PRO playmats and portfolios, Lorcana Lorebook portfolios, and board games including Wildblooms and Monopoly Deal: Fourth Wing. Warhammer players, the Orks have officially invaded the shop with a whole lineup of Boyz, Warbosses, Weirdboyz, Warbikers, vehicles and more.

The Arkenstone is calling, will your Commander deck be strong enough to claim it? Join us Sunday, September 6 at 12 PM for Magic Presents: The Hobbit Heart of the Mountain, a special casual Commander event for $10. The first player to deal combat damage claims the Arkenstone, but any opponent who deals combat damage to its owner can steal it for themselves. Earn an ownership counter during each upkeep you control it, keep your counters even if it’s stolen, and reach three to win the game. September at Critical Hit Games is looking pretty full plus our weekly lineup has some updates! Pokémon has a new day and time added, and several of our games (SWU, Lorcana, One Piece, and Pokemon) offer ongoing League Play, so you can keep showing up, playing, earning points and working toward rewards.

Our special events are bringing even more to the calendar. Marco Does A Game Show was a HUGE hit last month, so we’re excited to bring Season 2 back on September 11! We’ve also got Lorcana and Pokémon competition, two MTG Singles Nights, The Hobbit Commander events, Riftbound Summoners Skirmish and more throughout the month.

Then we’re closing September with Black Jack Night on the 30th, a chance to sit down and actually learn the game, including strategy, best practices and how to make smarter plays.

September is giving you a lot of reasons to leave the house.
