This is community!!!
Today we had the honor of hosting children for back-to-school clothing shopping. The picture shown is from the CCFFL website—none of the children pictured are from our FB group.
This event came together because I volunteered with Corpus Christi Fish For Life in 2009 for several years. I shared with Chuck, the founder, that one day we would be able to duplicate something like this in Flour Bluff.
Three weeks ago, we received a call from Robin Cox and Carolyn Vaughn asking what we could do to help the children get ready for back to school. In just three weeks—partnering with Corpus Christi Fish For Life, Carolyn Vaughn, several others, and through a mighty move of God—this became a reality.
We had 14 different organizations represented in our volunteer group of over 50. When word went out that we needed volunteers, they showed up.
This isn’t just about clothes and shoes. It’s about letting a child know they are special to God.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!!!!! To those who supported this financially, served and prayed, it take us all working together to impact our community

Are you interested in applying to the UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY at West Point?

Mr. C.J. Burgin (U.S. Military Admissions) will be conducting a brief to high school seniors and their parents interested in applying to West Point.

Location will be at the Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi campus on August 05, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

Free Physicals at Commissioner Chesney's Community Health Fair

Nueces County Commissioner Brent Chesney will host a community health fair at Flour Bluff High School on Thursday, August 6, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., offering free physicals and immunizations for students ahead of the new school year. Families are encouraged to take advantage of this convenient opportunity before classes begin.
