We were excited to be a part of the groundbreaking for the new Briscoe King Pavillion! Thank you to Commissioner Brent Chesney, Judge Connie Scott, Troy Adler and all others who were part of the team to make this much needed improvement a reality.

Thank you Nueces County, we can’t wait to use this new venue for future Island events! 🏝️

At tomorrow's (Tues Sept 1 at 1:30PM) Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) Legislative Committee meeting they will discuss a proposal to limit coverage to ONLY owner-occupied homes (therefore, EXCLUDING coverage for second homes or non-owner occupied homes). If approved, this action would be detrimental to our real estate values and real estate market, and leave thousands of properties uninsurable.

Our Board of Directors has submitted the attached resolution to OPPOSE this proposal; in support of and to protect our coastal property owners and our real estate market.
