Our current Online Estate Auction ends this evening, Sunday, November 16, 2025 starting with Lot 1 at 8 pm CST. This is a unique opportunity from an old Corsicana estate of which has a unique back story. This house was the longtime home of the Hardison Family, in particular the Hardison sisters, Francis Elizabeth (1898-1987) and Camille (1900-1996). Their parents were William Clark Hardison (1873 - 1944) and Laura Wood Hardison (1868-1955). Their father was an early Texas oil drilling contractor who worked many of Corsicana's early oil wells. He was also the drilling contractor in the Spindletop oil discovery. As the story goes, the home was originally a two-story Victorian, until Francis and Camille's brother, accidentally started a fire on the second floor in the late 1920s. The fire did not burn the house down so it was rebuilt into the house that it is still today. This is why downstairs items such as the antique parlor furniture survived to be in this estate sale. The sisters lived their entire life in this home and after their passing, they left it and the contents to their church friend, Ruth Morris who lived there for several years. The vast majority of the items in this sale has once belonged to the Hardison sisters with Mrs. Ruth Morris moving in with just her clothing and a few personal items. The home has not changed much over the decades. This sale will start the closing process this coming Sunday evening, November 16, 2025 at 8 pm central standard time.
