THIRD THURSDAYS SEASON FINALE!

Cortez Retail Enhancement Association, City Hall of Cortez, Colorado, and sponsor First National Bank, Cortez are proud to host Red Camel Collective for our September 3rd Thursdays Cortez Downtown Market!

It’s the Season Finale and we are ending with an incredible performance:
Thursday September 17
5pm-8pm
Montezuma Park
Cortez, Colorado

“Red Camel Collective is a bluegrass band comprised of multi-talented instrumentalists and vocalists Heather Berry Mabe, Tony Mabe, Curt Love, and Jonathan Dillon.
Musically, Red Camel Collective’s sound is both eclectic and deeply rooted, blending traditional bluegrass and classic country influences with original songs and fresh, modern elements and uniquely their own. Formed in 2024, their band name was derived from the song "The Man In Red Camels" written by Timmy Massey and Rick Pardue. Red Camels are a vintage clothing brand best known for their iconic overalls. This name reflects the band's dedication to tradition, authenticity, and timeless style.
Accolades soon followed:
-In 2024, lead vocalist Heather Berry Mabe earned Momentum Vocalist of the Year honors from the IBMA.
-In the spring of 2025, the band’s debut album spent three consecutive months at #1 on the Bluegrass Unlimited Album Chart, an impressive achievement for a newly formed group.
-The band went on to receive the prestigious IBMA New Artist of the Year Award in 2025.
-Shortly after, in 2026, Heather was named Female Vocalist of the Year at the SPBGMA Awards in Nashville.
-In February of 2026, RCC made their Grand Ole Opry Debut in Nashville, TN, where the band received resounding applause and a standing ovation.
-In May of 2026 RCC was honored to play the Ford Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN.”
