Cortland Video Club

Cortland Video Club The Cortland Video Club is a television production unit made up of Cortland High School students producing programming in a professional manner.

Cortland High School students in grades 9-12 are all invited to join CVC (Cortland Video Club). As a part of CVC, students work together with professional video equipment to produce programming to be shown on our local cable channel (ch. 17), and also the New York State wide Time Warner Sports Channel. The programming that is produced are: sporting events, both home and away (using our own product

ion truck), all Cortland Enlarged City Schools musical concerts, school board meetings, guest speakers, talk, news, and magazine type shows. Local events are also covered such as parades, election night coverage, public meetings, meet the candidates, and other public interest shows.

It is with great sadness that we share that our founder and friend, Mr. Jim Forshee passed away last week. Calling hours will be held Thursday 2-6 pm at the Wright-Beard funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church, Cortland NY with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family encourages those who visit during visiting hours to wear Cortland High School or Cortland College shirts or colors representing his love for both institutions.
