Did you know that the self-clean cycle on an oven causes enough problems that many appliance repair companies DO NOT recommend them?

We are one of the companies that DOES NOT recommend them.

During a self-clean the oven reaches temperatures between 800-1000 degrees F for extended periods of time. This temperature is to incinerate the food inside the oven, which it does well, but many times it damages its own internal components in the process.

Fuses can be blown

Thermostats and control boards can be fried

Heating elements can burn out

Some ovens will even lock upon this failure causing even more issues and hurdles before they can be repaired

roughly 1000 fires a year in the U.S. are contributed to grease build up ignition during the self cleaning cycle

HOW TO FIX

Regularly wipe down your oven after spills

Use non-abrasive cleaners recommended as safe for your oven in your manual

As a natural solution, use an oven/heat safe dish and add water to gently steam clean the oven raising the temperature at and to a safe level.

leave you washer door cracked open so you don't have mildew form in your drum. Keeping it open allows it to air out and dry in between uses instead of sealing in the dampness.

‼️‼️‼️‼️QUICK LITTLE WEEKEND CHORE!!! ‼️‼️‼️‼️

This will help keep your washer smelling fresh and make sure that the seal created between the door and the boot is nice and tight!

Just use a wet cloth, microfiber is my personal favorite to use, and wipe off any residue or hair, or fuzz or anything like that. Then wipe off the door boot and inside the boot and voilà, you're all finished!!
