What a week in Downtown Corydon. Usually, when we say that, it is because of an event or other wonderful things happening in town, but this time it was a little different.
Tuesday’s flash flood was certainly a day to remember, but even in the middle of a difficult situation, there is a lot to be thankful for. We are grateful for the way our community showed up for one another and immediately began the hard work of cleaning up. A special thank you to the Corydon Town Hall employees, Corydon Police Department, Harrison County Sheriff's Department, Harrison Township Fire Department, Harrison County Emergency Management, and Charlie's 24 Hour Towing.
Several of our downtown merchants were impacted by the flooding. As cleanup and recovery continue, we hope you will remember to shop local and support the businesses that make up the heart of our town. For small businesses, there is no corporate team waiting in the wings to come to the rescue. It is family, friends, neighbors, employees, and loyal customers who help keep the doors open.
Below is a list of downtown businesses that sustained damage and could use a little extra support after this week. Whether you stop in, make a purchase, buy a gift card, share their posts, or send a kind word, it all matters.
