Students at American Heritage Academy are learning about vermicompost! The students feed their fruit and vegetable scraps to these red wigglers. In return, the worms produce casting that are rich in nutrients. Later in the year we will replenish our garden soil with these castings!

A huge thank you to Home Depot!!! Today they delivered four raised garden beds that they built and donated to our program. They also brought a pallet of organic garden soil, which was donated by Scotts. We are so grateful to have companies in our local community that are willing to help!
