It’s potting up season and came across this triple trunk MPT seedling with excellent root ball. Double trunks are rare, I think I will grow up this one for my personal collection 👍

Here is a good example how the root structure becomes so explosive for such a small tree seedling. More to come regarding the development of healthy roots.

Here are a few photos that show the development of new seed cones, next to a few fertile cones, almost ready for harvest. Also sharing a fertile seed cone broken apart, releasing the fresh fertile seeds.

The native Chilean parrots love munching on fertile seeds. In the Northwest, the Steller's Jays are quick to harvest seeds from our tree when the cones are ready to break apart. Its always a challenge to get my share of the harvest 😄

The 3 Monkey Puzzle Trees in this short clip were grown from seed. First gown in pots then later transplanted in the ground when they were about 18-24" tall. The Trees are about 9 years old.
