🎉 Retirement Spotlight: OSCM Jeremy Weaver (1996–2026)

Not every retirement keepsake has to be a challenge coin.

For this project, we created a custom retirement poker chip to honor OSCM Jeremy Weaver and celebrate 30 years of dedicated Coast Guard service.

The front captures the anticipation of retirement with a tropical beach scene, a setting sun, and the perfect question every retiree eventually asks:

“Are We Done Yet?”

The reverse commemorates Jeremy’s career with his name, years of service, Master Chief Anchor, specialty insignia, and a clean, timeless design that will be appreciated for years to come.

⚓ The road to becoming an Officer in Charge is one of the toughest in the U.S. Coast Guard.

This custom lighthouse-shaped challenge coin was created for a dedicated group of Boatswain’s Mates preparing for the Officer in Charge (OIC) Review Board with a specialty in Aids to Navigation (ATON).

The OIC certification demands extensive knowledge, sound judgment, and proven leadership. For those in the ATON specialty, that means mastering everything from buoys and fixed aids to waterways management, regulations, and the operational responsibilities that keep America’s waterways safe and navigable.

More than just a challenge coin, this piece represents the late nights, countless study sessions, mentorship, and teamwork that go into preparing for one of the Coast Guard’s most respected qualifications. The lighthouse shape was the perfect choice—a symbol of the ATON mission and the dedication required to earn the title of Officer in Charge.

It has been an honor to design this retirement challenge coin for CWO Brian Chrest.

Brian and Nick served together in the U.S. Coast Guard, and for a time and we were even neighbors, so this project meant a little more than most. Being trusted to create something that commemorates 25 years of dedicated service is a responsibility we never take lightly.
