This was the most difficult “plaque” I have made… I made one and the paint bled through so fail! The next was looking good but paint got spilled on it .. failure. The third had much better nuances than the others mostly because I felt bad for my failures. This final one has maple as the main wood, Peruvian walnut as the frame. 45* corners, rounded edges. Sanded to equal a babies butt smoothness.

If I would have charged what I should have it would have been expensive, unfortunately I failed and delayed so much it was the equivalent as working for $.57 an hour, and that’s on me . But it is damn beautiful if I must say!!

While I am spending Memorial Day making flags and watching Band of Brothers, there was a scene where one soldier asked “do you have Souvenirs?”

Then I remembered I have some from my grandfather on my father’s side..
I heard he even kept his service rifle but unfortunately someone asked to shoot it once and then apparently sold it 😡
