Yesterday it rained. Then stopped. Then rained again. And somehow, it ended up being such a sweet Saturday at the farm.

We celebrated 11-year-old twins with a birthday in the meadow. Other families trickled in and out celebrating birthdays of their own. And even with the rain showers coming and going, we had such a great group show up for Story Time.

There were flowers being picked, animals being fed, birthday pictures being taken and people making the best of the cooler weather.

Days like yesterday remind me that this place was never really just about the flowers.

It’s somewhere to bring the birthday girl.
Somewhere to meet your friends.
Somewhere to bring the kids on a Saturday morning.
Somewhere to spend a little time together.

Can’t make Story Time? Come whenever it works for you. We’re open 9 AM–7:45 PM Saturday, and no reservations are needed.

Your Friday night plans could use some flowers. Grab your person, come pick a bouquet together and wander the meadow before the sun goes down.

No reservation. No complicated plans. Just an easy excuse to get outside and spend a little time together.

And yes, making the bouquet together is part of the fun. 😉

Did you know we’re self-serve, families trickle in and out throughout the day. We can never promise how busy the farm will be, and we definitely can’t promise quiet roosters 😂, but if crowds or lots of activity make outings harder for your family, Thursday and Friday mornings are usually a good place to start.

Pick flowers at your own pace, visit the barnyard and enjoy some time outside.

Story Time starts promptly at 10:30 AM every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Bring a blanket and settle in for a simple morning outside with flowers, fresh air, and farm animals. 🐐🐓🦆🐇

After Story Time, kids can pet and feed the animals. Animal feed is available for $1.

If you have time, pack a picnic 🧺 and stay awhile. Want to pick flowers too? We’ve got everything you need for a U Pick bouquet. Bouquets start at $30.

New rows of zinnias are blooming, the meadow is still full of color, and we have several weeks of flower season left.

We’ve been waiting for this. After a long, long stretch of 100° days, cooler weather is finally headed our way.

And there are fresh rows of zinnias beginning to bloom just in time.

If the heat kept you away this summer, put a flower-picking day on your calendar for this week. Come make a bouquet, visit the barnyard and spend some time outside again.
