On Monday we had an argument about the need to get rid of rusty old and cracked plastic things in the corner of her garage. On Wednesday I was asking her if I could borrow them to bail out my basement. In so doing I found I need even more stuff.

People have asked about bees, heat, air quality. My world: Activity is definitely minimal in heat and twilight skies. The sounds of the interior, a deep roar, indicate hard working of airflow going on. Inside I would say numbers and pollen-honey are conservative in my hives as energy and activity are directed elsewhere. Otherwise I see healthy colonies. Nectar flow in plants is affected in heat. How do plants adjust in twilight at noon and in poor air quality? I recommend following “Stop The Spray Ontario ” on IG and FB to catch up with Ontario’s battles against Chemical Foresting and more recently the spraying of the desiccant, glyphosate, to wipe out deciduous trees in favor of fast growing (and burning) conifers for lumber. It has been a long battle for this group and look how badly it is going. I am embarrassed that I did not hear of it sooner. Everyday is a down to Earth reminder that we are all connected and need to deeply and bravely question our role as sovereign stewards while not having the conversation usurped by the uniparty. People have morals and care about future life. What do companies spraying glyphosate on forests care about?

Hmmm…”sovereignty” you ask? Tricky waters, indeed. Made harder in the Realm of Algorithms, Rumi. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,

I planted a currant bush. It informs me it likes its place. Sunlight, soil, pond water, shade. It gave a gift of berries while completing the octave of its fullness under the light of a St. John Solstice in 2026. I’m happy and warm with the dialogue…to be woven back into what the busy intellect so often breaks and in moments I can remember to remember will, like the Creator, not forget the creation.

I’m hopeful for blooming conversation in a world which offers more practice in interaction through data, presentation, and content rather than inquisitive conversation. I’m picking up that the apparent difficulties and obstacles to light-led conversation are a sign that the possibility of wisdom and love arriving through conversation has not only increased but are now manifold. All doors are always open. Yes? The space to do so arrives, in full awareness of it, and when mutually accepted, a bridge is crossed and something new arises. While lifting my lids on a beehive I ask prior to going inside “What do you want me to see?” The conversation afterwards never goes where I thought it would. Now it seems Chit Chat has other gifts and sometimes that is all I have energy for and grateful for not being overloaded with wisdom.
