Well guys the Primitive Merchants has become " The Vintage Nanny"..the change over is going faster than expected...I worked fast & hard last week 😊 I have so many great pieces left to sell ...as well as tables - chairs - chests..clothing & decor...come see us!!
The last 4 years have been a hard journey at times, most could not understand unless they've walked it, but, make no mistake, still with joy & blessings...I feel if Hubs were still here he would tell me now is the time to walk a different path....
While I will not be in store after July ...(dont count me out ..you know I love to bake & already have things in the works to be announced later..)
I need to thank Sue Motley for believing in me & the chance of building a great business & being able to "hone"more of my cooking skills there.
I have a feeling in the future there maybe plenty of pies , and cheese cakes available..Here's my # 417 818 8958....
I will miss every single one of you...I have made so many great friends thru these last years in-store & thats been the biggest blessing.!This is going to be the saddest... not visiting the customers...
Hopefully this baking endeavor will come to completion..
I believe in doing my best being a keeper of my word .

These are some of the desserts that were made for Lola Mae's @ Primitive Merchants this week, soon to be called the Vintage Nanny.... The following pictures are of some booths around the store...we are loaded with vintage finds ... auction.Items & various things throughout the shop. Every booth has been changed up or completely redone, and have lots of items.Added these past few weeks... We will be sharing more pictures around the store in the next few days to show hiw we are changing....

Big News!!
Warning... ( long post)
Thinking back to the years of all the things that we've accomplished @ Primitive Merchants. .It's hard to believe this is our 10 th season....... I was going through what pictures to share today & just hit the highlights of a few things that I worked on in the shop and it's been such a joy to be able to have that platform.
Thank you to Sue Motley for everything and her strong nudge to guide me into this business...❤️
To every thing there is a season & ...its my time to change some things up..... Having a shop has been a blessing.It has allowed me to have a platform to show what kind of crafting I like to do.
I have met so many people and have made so many new friends throughout this endeavor... And the people who have worked for me have been amazing.....Pam & Queet are as good as they come!
My cousin Paula was a crackerjack store clerk and I miss her still today❤️
My husband did so much of the shelving ,the wood work thru out the building and he made the front screen door on the store.
He was proud of everything I did there, and I think that's what I'm most grateful for, the things that we did together and that I could do...... stuff too ..you know :) .
It waa good for my Kids & all my Grandkids , you know , I don't think there's a one of them that doesn't know what a Flea Market is ....and that's a good thing...My hubs... I will always miss him ..our Kids - Grands do too❤️
A girl, I know that comes from the other side of my family, Angie Rice Youngblood is taking ownership of the store and I believe it might have a new name called Vintage Nanny...
She used to have a store on Main Street years ago. And this girl knows her stuff, right now the store looks better than it ever has, it's chock full of all kinds of vintage finds from auctions, markets, sales etc... She has lots of daughters that are going be involved in this helping her out and bringing things in too... boutique / decor
Okay, guys, don't count me out.Cause I'll still be there.I'll be running the tea room doing some Christmas trees , wreaths , floral work , and I'll have my little boutique area & decor ....
There's one last person I need to mention I will always be thankful to, and she's been gone some years now, I still think of her and that was
Phyllis Brown Foster, she put the love of a Flea Market in my heart.She made me believe I could do anything I set my head to.She was,artsy & had an eye for color...She taught me how to do florals better... She loved Jesus and she told me good stories.. She knew my heart & I knew hers ❤️
Angie Rice Youngblood I wish you the best & hope this will be best store ever & you make as many good memories as I have had...You have a really good eye for making things look their best.....thats talent.

WE ARE OPEN!!Well guys my battery is dead in my car again.I don't know what's causing it because it was fully charging.I'm gonna be late opening.waiting in help w this... I will repost when open today..WE ARE OPEN!!!

PRIMITIVE MERCHANTS WILL BE VERY LATE OPENING THIS MORNING ..WEDNESDAY MAY 27TH as I'm having car trouble in stranded at the moment.Hopefully , I will be able to find a way there soon or get my car working...

We are serving lunch today @ Lola Mae's in Primitive Merchants Crane Mo....Chicken Salad ..Egg Salad..cream of broccoli soup...Frito pie deluxe etc...lots of desserts...Cheese Cake...Texas sheet cake...In House Cream Cake- Coconut Cream Pie...
