Looks like I will be building a few DMD ashiko cajon drums in the near future thanks to generosity of a friend with a new CNC. Went to storage and dug up some gorgeous silver maple with some spalting and chatoyancy. Also some ash, oak, butternut and pine.
Can’t wait!
Drums in the photo with me are from left, black walnut, pine, and American ash. The drum below is silver maple with some spalting and chatoyancy.
