June is National Dairy Month ๐Ÿฅ›๐Ÿ

When most people hear "dairy," they think of the milk in their refrigerator. Around here, dairy looks a little different.

Every bar of Baa-tanicals soap begins with fresh milk from our own Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. These girls are milked right here on our farm, and their milk goes straight into the products I make by hand.

What many people don't realize is that a lot of goat milk soap is made using powdered goat milk and water. There's nothing wrong with that, but I choose to use 100% fresh goat milk as my liquid because I believe ingredients matter.

Nigerian Dwarf goats are known for producing milk with exceptionally high butterfat content, which contributes to the rich, creamy lather my customers love.

National Dairy Month is a great reminder that supporting local dairy farmers comes in many forms. Whether it's a glass of milk, a block of cheese, or a handcrafted bar of goat milk soap, every purchase helps keep small farms thriving.

One thing that makes Baa-tanicals so special is that the goat milk in our soaps comes from goats we personally raise and milk here at Rector Valley Ranch ๐Ÿค

Not powdered goat milk ordered online. Not milk from a supplier Iโ€™ve never met. These are our girls.. the goats we care for every day, bottle feed babies from, milk in the early mornings, and love through every season of farm life. And honestly, you might be surprised how uncommon that really is.

Thereโ€™s just something really meaningful to me about turning fresh milk from our own farm into small-batch soaps made by hand. From the barnโ€ฆ to soapโ€ฆ to your home.

I know there are many wonderful soap makers out there, but I do think thereโ€™s something extra special about truly knowing where your ingredients come from and being connected to every step of the process.

This business is built from a whole lot of hard work, love, and goats ๐Ÿ๐Ÿค
