What’s up everybody! Welcome back to Wakulla Cardboard Nerds in your newsfeed, we are bring back our Saturday night comic book claim sale!

If you’re new here, my name’s Jason, we going to be going live every Saturday at 7PM EST, right here on Facebook Live. We’ve got DC, Marvel, Indie and more. We have keys, variants, grails, and those $1 bins y’all love.

How it works is super simple first claim, first served. When you see a book you want, just comment CLAIM plus the issue number. We’ll get you invoiced after the show and you got 48 hours to pay. That’s it. We ship any where in US/ overseas with usps or local pick up.

Now I want to be real with y’all for a second. Every single book you claim on our sales is doing more than just building your collection.

Every sale helps us go towards a new storefront.

We’ve been grinding online, building this community from scratch, right here in Wakulla County, and the dream is to have a real, brick-and-mortar home for us.

A place where you can come in, dig through boxes, talk comics, play Commander, bring the kids a real home for the Cardboard Nerds.

We’re not there yet, but every claim gets us one step closer. So when you claim that Batman key, that ASM, that indie banger, you’re not just buying a comic, you’re literally helping build our shop.

6 years ago, I learned that a comic book store is never really about the comics. It's about the kid who finds his first Spider-Man issue and realizes heroes can look like him. It's about the table of strangers who become friends over a $5 Commander game on a Friday night.

It's about belonging. That's what I am rebuilding.

As many of you know, building something you love isn't a straight line. I’ve had setbacks. Doors closed. Plans that didn't work out. When (Wilde Comics and Gaming & Wilde Cards) changed, I had a choice — walk away, or take everything I learned about community, about this town, about you all, and build something better and closer to home.

So I chose Crawfordville. I chose Wakulla.

Wakulla Cardboard Nerds isn't just a business to buy cards and comics. It's three things:

First, it's a third place. Not home, not work — the place where Wakulla Cardboard Nerds isn't just a place to buy cards and comics. It's three things:

First our events, it's a third place. Not home, not work — the place where you want to be. A safe, welcoming table where a 10-year-old, a 40-year-old dad, and a 70-year-old collector can all sit down and play.

Second, it's an investment in our kids. Every Magic tournament, every Pokemon trade day, every Comic Book page they can dig into— that's a kid off a screen, learning math, reading, strategy, sportsmanship, and how to lose gracefully and win humbly.

Third, it's local. When you spend with us on a Friday nights or on site. That stays here. It doesn't go to an algorithm. It goes to prizes for our kids, to local events, to keeping our community alive.

So here's my ask. I'm not asking you to love comics. I'm not asking you to learn Magic — though I do have loaner decks if you want to try.

I'm asking you to believe that Crawfordville deserves a place like this. A place for the nerds, the gamers, the readers, the weirdos, and the wonderful — because let's be honest, we're all a little bit of that.

So come to our Commander Nights, Wednesdays and Fridays. $5 donation, all skill levels, bring your own deck or we have loaners. Bring your son. Bring your daughter. Bring that stack of old cards in your closet you haven't looked at in 20 years. We'll find a place for you.

We're calling it Wakulla Cardboard Nerds because we don't take ourselves too seriously. But we take each other seriously.

Thank you for giving us a second chance to build something great. Thank you for showing up. The tables are open and the next game is about to start.

We have established a Facebook messenger group for Magic the Gathering players. If you are interested in meeting and playing in Crawfordville, please reply with 'interested' and we will add you to the group. We meet on Fridays at the Masonic Lodge in Crawfordville and at Hudson Park on weekdays, provided there are sufficient players. We also have a Dungeon and Dragon group that meets on Fridays at the lodge.

We are currently seeking additional individuals interested in participating in Friday night gaming sessions. Thus far, we have established a Magic the Gathering group, but we are also interested in recruiting Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, or Pokémon players.
