🇺🇸 Labor Day Weekend at the Market 🇺🇸

This weekend seems like a good time to recognize something we see every market day — hard work.

For 67 years, the New Egypt Flea Market Village has been filled with people who get up early, load their vehicles, open their shops, set up their tables, create things, collect things, restore things and work hard to build their own small businesses.

And just as importantly, there are the people who come through our gates and choose to support them. ❤️

So on this Labor Day weekend, we want to say thank you to our merchants, our outside vendors and everyone who continues to shop small and support this crazy, wonderful little village that has been part of our community since 1959.

🌞 Heat Advisory for Today’s Market

New Egypt Flea Market will be open as usual today from 8 AM–2 PM.

With the extreme heat expected, we encourage everyone to take extra precautions:
• Stay hydrated.
• Wear light clothing and sunscreen.
• Take breaks in the shade whenever possible.
• If you’re feeling overheated, don’t hesitate to head home.

Our merchants will be doing their best in the heat, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding if some choose to leave a little early for safety.

💙 Happy Father’s Day 💙

Today we’re celebrating the fathers, grandfathers, sons,grandsons, husbands, and father figures who help shape our families and leave a legacy for future generations.

As I look at these photos, I’m reminded that so much of the New Egypt Flea Market Village’s story is really a family story.

From my grandfather… to my dad, who started the market in 1959… to the generations that followed.

The values of hard work, perseverance, family, and community have been passed down through the years, and for that I am grateful.

Wishing all the dads, granddads, stepdads, bonus dads, and father figures, sons and grandsons a very Happy Father’s Day.
