That’s a wrap! Thank you so much everyone for all the continual love and support in our first ever season.
The first picture is a photo of me, when I first began to announce the business I was going to be opening. I am just so proud to look back at that picture because I had no idea what this business would turn into. I was nervous and unsure what I was doing but I put my faith in the Lord to guide my mom and me. I can’t even believe how this year went. I know I’ve said it a million times but it’s just not enough, THANK YOU for supporting us. All of the kind words, all of your prayers, all of your support has meant the world to us. I just feel beyond grateful. I can’t even begin to explain how full my heart is.
When I was first starting to create Sown In Spirit, before there was ever a name or a logo, I knew I wanted to make a Christian business. I had seen God working in my life and the lives of others. I knew how loving He is and I wanted to share my love for my Father with my community.
There were people who told me it wasn’t a good idea. They told me it wasn’t smart to shape my business around my faith and publicly dedicate my work to the Lord. I was told it would likely limit the number of customers I could reach and that I should keep my faith separate from my business.
However, I didn’t want to hide the most important part of who my mom and I are.
From the beginning, we prayed Sown In Spirit would be more than just a flower farm. I wanted it to be a place people could feel loved, uplifted, and reminded of the goodness of God. To be inspired to be a light for others. I wanted my flowers, my conversations, every act of kindness and every decision to point back to Him.
Looking back on my first year, I am so glad I made this decision. Sometimes it’s scary to follow God. It’s easy to listen to fear and follow the crowd. But, when you listen to the Lord and trust in His path for you, it leads you down a narrow but beautiful road.
My mom and I have witness so many prayers being answered and watched week after week, God working through our business. I am proud that Sown In Spirit has brought people together, put a smile on peoples faces and encouraged others to continue pursuing the Lord. This business has also lit another fire in me. I’m even more inspired to be a light to others, to be a better person, and to continue being bold and trusting in my faith in other aspects of my life.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
I feel like this verse captures our first year perfectly. From starting our business as a way to glorify God to seeing a chain reaction of His love through our flowers, conversations, and random acts of kindness.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us through our very first year. Thank you for shopping with us, sharing our posts, telling your friends about us, stopping in to say hello, and simply cheering us on. We are so grateful for every person who has been a part of this first year, and we can’t wait to see what God has in store for Sown In Spirit. 🤍
