Look what’s back in place after 45 years! Thanks to Ryan Henry and Josh Bollman for putting the Texaco sign back up. It’s another step closer to what it looked like in 1936. You can see it from Hwy 9. Please consider donating to the Save the Map campaign. It is tax deductible and will help keep the map safe for decades to come.

I’d like to thank Rick Byrnes for powder coating the donation plaques! These plaques will provide the funds to repair the roof, change the face to read “ Northern Iowa Service Station”, and help with the repair of the inside office area. Rick donated his time because he likes what we’re doing with the station. Thank you for your generosity Rick.

Today Kevin Neuzil and I went to see Alvin Hepler and Jason Krueger. These two gentlemen have been making the 6 foot Texaco sign for the station. They did an amazing job! I also want to thank Kevin for not only driving today but also contributing by making the blank and helping pay for the sign. This station project has been getting done by lots of people behind the scene making it happen. There is still lots to do but it is getting done with help from the community. Thank you

Here’s what family does. Rob Henry spent part of his Sunday painting the Texaco pole for the station. He does not tell all the good things he does for people in the community. I thank you Rob for your generosity and support. This is what it’s all about. I’m very thankful.
