August 21, 2026 — After more than 80 years of serving the community, Boyd Appliance Center will be closing its doors to the public at the end of business today.
Since opening in 1945, Boyd Appliance Center has had the privilege of being a part of countless homes and families throughout the community. Generations of customers have trusted us with their appliance purchases, repairs, and service needs, and that trust has meant more to us than we can put into words.
Unfortunately, recent economic challenges have made it increasingly difficult for us to continue operating within our means. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision that closing is the responsible path forward.
This is not the way we ever imagined our story ending.
To every customer who has walked through our doors, called us for service, purchased an appliance from us, recommended us to a friend, or simply supported our business over the years — thank you. Your loyalty is the reason Boyd Appliance Center was able to serve this community for more than eight decades. It was also the driving factor behind the pride and joy we had in taking care of each and other one of you.
I am deeply grateful to every person who chose Boyd Appliance Center to take care of their appliance needs. We never took that trust for granted, and I hope you know how much we appreciated your business.
From 1945 until today, it has been an honor to serve you.
