With the hurricane approaching, I just want to take a moment to say that I truly pray everyone stays safe, prepared, and protected throughout the storm.

Please take care of yourselves, check on your family, friends, and neighbors, and don’t take any unnecessary chances. No matter what this storm may bring, remember that things can be replaced, but people cannot.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who may be affected, especially those who may be scared, uncertain, or facing difficult decisions in the days ahead.

Stay weather aware, look out for one another, and please don’t hesitate to lend a helping hand where you can.

Today is one of those days that always makes me stop for a minute.

September 11th is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a reminder of how quickly life can change, how deeply people can love, and how strong we can be when we come together.

I think about the lives that were lost, the families who were forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and every person who showed courage, compassion, and selflessness in the middle of unimaginable heartbreak.

I also think about the way our country came together afterward. People checked on each other. Helped each other. Loved a little harder. And I wish we could hold onto more of that every day.

So today, I’m choosing to remember with gratitude, with compassion, and with a little extra kindness.

We remember. We honor. We never forget. 🇺🇸🤎
