Y’all Better Buckle Up!

A full moon starts the weekly show,
So hide the broom—you never know!
My chin’s sprouted hairs, my knees both creak—
I might turn werewolf by midweek.

Then Halloween comes knocking loud,
I buy enough sweets to feed a crowd.
But every time I pass that bowl,
Another Snickers saves my soul.

Then clocks fall back—well, ain’t that sweet?
An extra hour for me to eat!
My dog won’t care what clocks may say,
She’ll want her breakfast yesterday.

Full moon, ghosts, and clocks gone strange—
That’s far too much hormonal change!
I’ve got my pearls and coffee cup…

Lord help us all—y’all buckle up
