You’ve seen the dot cake trend all over your feed — here’s how I’m bringing it to my dipped Oreos 🎀

The best part? These are beginner-friendly. White chocolate, sprinkles, done.

Would you try this on cookies, pretzels, or something else? 👇

25 pop-ups in and I’m still learning — but here’s what I wish someone told me before my first one. Save this if you’re thinking about selling at markets or pop-ups.

What’s YOUR biggest pop-up question? 👇

The glamorous side of being a cottage baker 😅

Pop-ups and farmers markets are SO fun... until you come home to THIS. Everything needs to be unpacked, organized, and put away before the next round.

But honestly? I wouldn’t trade it. This mess means I showed up, sold out, and got to do what I love.

Tell me I’m not the only one — does your space look like a tornado hit after an event? 👇

It’s so easy to ruin your melting chocolate. Even though using compound chocolate (melting discs/wafers) are typically easier to use, they still need a little TLC when it comes to melting. Insider tip: I sometimes use a 1 cup Pyrex glass measuring cup on top of an electric candle warmer, especially if I am not in a hurry or just need a little bit of colored wafers melted.
Be sure to SAVE this post for later. Have you made any of the above melting mistakes?

14 days ago, I almost didn’t hit post.

I joined a posting challenge thinking maybe I’d get a few more followers. I didn’t expect to go viral. I didn’t expect to make sales on my digital products. And I definitely didn’t expect to find out that people all over the country actually want to hear what I have to say.

The hardest day was when I stepped out of my comfort zone and spoke directly to the camera. That same video got over 423,000 views.

What I learned? I’m capable of more than I thought. And when I follow through on a plan — actually follow through — good things happen.

Creating content used to feel like a chore. Now it feels like a window into my little world. And I’m just getting started.

If you’ve been sitting on content ideas, waiting until you feel ready — this is your sign. You’re more ready than you think. 🩷

The secret to clean piping? Your chocolate has to be just right — not too thick, not too runny.

If it’s too warm, it runs everywhere. Too cool, and it clumps up mid-pipe. I let mine sit for just a minute after melting so it flows smoothly but holds its shape. That’s how you get crisp, readable names every time.

Graduation season is HERE and these diploma pretzels are flying out of my kitchen! 🎓🎀

Save this for the next time you’re piping names or details on chocolate treats — you’ll thank yourself later!

There’s a reason my Oreos aren’t $2. Let me show you. There’s so much more involved than just basic ingredients. Tools needed, packaging items, hidden costs like insurance, etc. Were you surprised by anything you learned? If you enjoyed this behind-the-scenes peek inside of the Small Batch Kitchen, let me know! April nearly broke me this year.

Easter orders. Derby pop-ups. Corporate requests piling up.

My schedule was maxed out.

Then I got the email.

A local nonprofit I love asked if I’d donate again this year.

Last year, I donated AND made them a $100 basket for their fundraiser.

This year? I knew I couldn’t do both.

I sat with that for a minute.

Because here’s the thing about running a small batch business:

You can’t pour from an empty pot.

So I said no to the basket.

And yes to what mattered most — showing up for my community the way I actually could.

I made the donation. I fit it in. I made it a priority.

Not because I had the bandwidth.

Because it aligned with why I do this in the first place.

Sometimes protecting your capacity IS the gift.

Have you ever had to say no to something good so you could say yes to what mattered most? 👇
