There's a big party going on at Crimora Park Saturday, and you're invited! South River Watershed Coalition and Augusta Parks and Rec are inviting the public for fishing, floating and fellowship. Food trucks will be there, and the Pixar movie Hoppers will be shown at 8 pm.

With all those new visitors in town, Fisherman's Attic will stay open 'til 8 pm Saturday. From 3 to 8 pm, all minnows and all worms will be HALF PRICE! Pass the word!

We now have in stock the most powerful spinning reel yet from MadKatz: the Goliath 6000. It's intended for the biggest of fish -- like record blue cats, sharks, and bull drum. CNC-machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, the reel is fully sealed so no water or sand gets in. It has 50 # of drag, 10 bearings and stainless gearings. Pictured are the Sunset and Justice models. The reel retails for $299 but Fisherman's Attic sells if for $269 when purchased with a rubber-grip MadKatz rod!

Look what MadKatz sent us today!

These shirts look great in both daylight and black light. They're available in 3 designs and 6 sizes. Price is $30 (or $25 with purchase of a MadKatz rod or reel).

Plus, we finally got the first MadKatz Bait Runner spinning reels. Each has 6 stainless bearings, a large cranking handle and tremendous drag -- perfect for catfish, carp or large saltwater fish. Prices are $80 for size 4000, $90 for size 6000 and $100 for size 8000; they're 10% less when purchased with a MadKatz rod. Also pictured is the new medium-light Mad Slabz 1000 ($60), great for catching crappie.

We'd be happy to sell every angler a $100 combo, but let's face it, not everyone needs something that high-end. The Attic has stocked up on brand new, colorful spinning and spincast combos that sell for under $50. The combos -- mostly from Okuma -- include rods from 5.5 to 8 feet tall, and reels from light to heavy.

As always, they have this one-year guarantee: if you break it, we replace it!
