If you’ve ever stepped foot inside our shop, you know it’s packed to the brim with vintage treasures and homemade goods. What you may not know is that we’ve had to turn away many wonderful vendors simply because we didn’t have enough room.

I’ve said before that opening a mercantile inside the little church was never part of our original vision, it’s simply how the story unfolded. But as with all plans, sometimes the gears shift and new opportunities appear out of nowhere.

Suddenly. Abundantly. And always right on time.

Moving the mercantile wasn’t part of the plan either, but sometimes you can’t help but follow where you’re being led.

With that being said, Wildwood Mercantile closed its doors today in Latexo and will reopen in downtown Crockett on Wednesday, September 23 at 307 E. Goliad Avenue as The Old Place.

We’re also excited to share that the majority of the vendors you already know and love will be making the move with us. Our larger space will allow us to welcome even more collectors, makers and small businesses while meeting a need we’ve discovered within our community.

The Old Place will continue to offer gathering space for swaps, classes, celebrations and other special events, but most of all, we’ll be known as the place to find unique vintage treasures, old-fashioned baked goods and locally handcrafted items.

If you’re interested in becoming a vendor at our downtown location, please send us a private message telling us a little about yourself and the items you would like to bring. We’ll be happy to add you to our already-growing list as we offer vendor space of all size.
