After 18 years in Mount Kisco, it was hard to imagine Beehive being anywhere else. I got a lot of signs that it was time for us to make a move - some signs practically had to shout at me! Yesterday was one of those days where I realized we’re exactly we were supposed to be. And it was all because of this green box.

About a decade ago, a friend gave me this wooden green box when she sold her home. It became a constant display piece in the shop. Countless customers have tried to buy it over the years, but I could never bring myself to part with it.

Yesterday, that same friend walked into our brand, new space and gasped. As it turned out, she had purchased that green box years ago from the old furniture store that used to occupy the exact space that we are in now!

Call it coincidence if you want, but to me, it’s another beautiful affirmation that that box is just waiting for Beehive to catch up.
