💊 Ever wondered what “Extended Release” actually means?

When you see ER, XR, XL, SR or similar letters on a medication bottle, they generally indicate that the medication is designed to be released over a longer period of time rather than all at once.

⏰ The goal? A more gradual release of medication and, for some medications, fewer doses throughout the day.

One important rule: Don't assume an extended-release tablet can be crushed, split, or chewed. Always check with your pharmacist first!
