We wrap up our week with our presentation with MAIS.

Glad that we've been invited to present our design and brief status of the project to Chairman of MAIS & Alhamdulillah the Chairman is happy & appreciated the design.. Indeed a good experience for us! 😀

Look forward for this project fly soon on 2023 as currently we are working for Kebenaran Merancang submission.

Compartmentation

It's mid of the week & we're in midst studying with regards to compartmentation,which is part of the Fire safety & protection requirements by Bomba that need to be complied,as one of the Passive fire protection requirements, for one of our coming projects.

Why do we need to compartmentalised the area?

Main objective of compartmentation is to contain fire within one location thus avoiding it to spread to other area & importantly give time for safe evacuation during occurance of fire! 🔥🔥

As Architect, prior to dive in detail to comply, we will require to identify our building purpose group which will lead to specific requirements for compliance, base on building height/volume. This in detail, will also determine how we design the space!

We design for people & for the safety of the people/ building occupants...🙂👷

Hello October!

We start the month with an Industrial proposal.
Our rule of thumb when designing, bigger built up - higher parking requirements and subsequently the cost!

However, this will not stop us to fullfill Client's desired requirements 🙂

Sharing the Planing guidelines here, the figure captured in development data are calculated based on the authorities requirements. Each need to be complied accordingly, thus shall effect to whole design planning. This is how we will brief our Client when presenting the development data!

New set of requirements for Industrial, such as the building setback, parking requirements etc. Each need to be captured at design stage to ensure compliance and finally to maximise the built-up,where able.

With two options given, let's enjoy the process!

Great week we had..

Visited sites for different projects, each projects require different approach to tackle and requirements, not forgetting its complexity.

Architect's roles are not just coming out with beautiful & practical design, but the compliance.. with experiences we had and equipped with related laws/regulations, we need to advised Client accordingly.

Each decision made/option chose will have its own result. Ultimately to obtain approval and ensuring requirements had been complied!

Another interesting week coming, WIP for an industrial proposal. Let's dive in and enjoy the process 🙂
