🧵 **5 Fun Facts Every Quilter Will Love!** 🧵

Did you know: 1️⃣ **“Quilt” means a stuffed sack!** The word comes from the Latin *culcita*, meaning a stuffed mattress or cushion.

2️⃣ **Knights wore quilts!** Quilted garments were worn under armor to provide cushioning and protect their skin.

3️⃣ **Quilters have quirks!** Naming our sewing machines, carrying emergency snips, and even sewing with one shoe on… apparently, we’re not alone! 😂

4️⃣ **The fabric stash is sacred.** That tiny scrap from 10 years ago? Of course we’re keeping it. We *might* need it someday! 😉

5️⃣ **The seam ripper is our best friend.** Experienced quilters know: sometimes the fastest way forward is a little un-sewing. ✂️

Which one sounds MOST like you? 👇
