🚨 JOB OPPORTUNITY 🚨 We are looking for someone who is interested in starting and developing two drum and percussion classes for ages 18months-4 and 5-8 on Saturday mornings beginning this fall.

You MUST be a sociable person who is committed to music education with a sincere interest in working with these age groups. Please only reach out if you do. You also must be willing to help promote these classes with the understanding that your compensation will be based on attendance. You will have full access to our instruments and facilities for these classes and if you are willing to do the work, this is an excellent opportunity with a ton of possibilities for growth. 🥁🔥😎

Minimum bachelor degree in music performance, music education, music therapy, or comparable education is required. For this position, we may, depending on qualifications, also consider “serious” students who are in the final year of completing their undergraduate degree. Today was a HUGE win for the Blue Mountain Middle School Band Program in the Hendrick Hudson School District! THANK YOU to the BMMS PTA and BMMS Band Director Katherine Filatov for making this a reality. Katherine and I set up a Yamaha Drums Stage Custom today with matching hardware and Zildjian Company A Series cymbals (Sweet Ride Pack). It was truly an exciting moment. This is a seriously awesome setup and the students at BMMS are going to benefit a great deal! Wishing Katherine and the students an amazing start to the school year! Congratulations!!!

The final piece on our Summer Ensemble concert was Blue Monk by Thelonious Monk. As always, our Ensemble events cover a ton of ground. Students perform nearly every style and genre. Jazz, rock, classical, percussion ensemble literature, solo works and much more. We do it all. It's why our Ensemble Program is a cornerstone of the Simon Boyar School of Drums and Percussion. It is by far the best way to broaden your horizons and learn as much as possible. Signups for our 2022/2023 program are happening now. Don't miss out!
