OMG we officially had people waiting outside the brewery for our Bookstore Romance Day Book Fair!!! I'll do another post tomorrow tagging all the authors, and libraries, who participated and helped make this a GREAT event but a shout out to Courtney Cozy Girls Co and Beth Crystal Lake Brewing for a wonderful collaboration! We couldn't have done it without you!

An old small business mantra is, "A customer will become a friend sooner than a friend will become a customer."

Amy and I attended a memorial service yesterday for Regina Belt-Daniels, a Crystal Lake legend in the theatre world and in our world.

Regina is one of the first customers that I ever remember remembering their name. When she found out that I loved ladybugs, she showered the store with them; including the pillow she hand-made for George's birthday.

I know the CL arts community had her for 30+ years and we only had her for five, but her presence has left a lasting impact on our store and we will never forget her.

Rest in peace, Regina. We will miss you.

I know I'm late in posting this, but I wanted to send a heartfelt "THANK YOU" to everyone who made Independent Bookstore Day, and the whole month of April, a HUGE success for us. We exist for you guys and you make it a joy and a pleasure every day. ♥️

AND we collected $279 for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry!!!
