🌸 Fresh Picks + gourds 🍂

We’re showing off some of today’s fresh flower cuts along with a tray full of our favorite fall gourds.

And this is just the beginning…we’re also getting ready for our Harvest Market next weekend.

Stay tuned for all the harvest goodness we’re bringing to the market!

How do we choose flowers for a bouquet? 💐

We walk the field and see what catches our eye. A few standout blooms, something with texture, a little filler, some greenery..then we put it together.

It’s the flowers that look completely different growing in the field that make the perfect combinations.

That’s the fun part!

Flower Farm Math 🌸

Does it make sense on paper? Maybe Not.

Does it make perfect sense when you’re standing in a field of flowers with another packet of seed you definitely need?

Absolutely! 💐

Around here, we call it research.

The colors. The curls. The completely ridiculous shapes.

Straight out of a Dr. Seuss book and we kind of love them for it.

Here’s to the flowers that don’t take themselves too seriously. 💐

The rain finally took a break, so we’re back at it in the garden. 🌧️🌸

And apparently the celosia used those rainy days to get a little… weird. 😂

Fresh cut, funky, colorful, and looking like it came straight out of a Dr. Seuss book.

Here’s to the flowers that don’t take themselves too seriously.

Sometimes the weird ones are the most fun.

There’s something extra special about giving flowers you grew yourself.

These blooms were grown in our garden, harvested and conditioned. They were then turned into a simple mason jar arrangement for my aunt’s birthday.

One of my favorite parts of growing flowers is getting to watch them go from the garden to something made. Especially when it’s for someone we love.

Happy Birthday Auntie 💐🎉

Always grown and arranged at White Ash Blooms.

Dahlias + Zinnias.

The zinnias have been giving us color all season long, and now the dahlias are finally joining the party. We can’t get enough 😍

A week on our flower farm 💐

There’s the part of everyone gets to see - the beautiful flowers and finished bouquets.

And then there’s everything that happens before that.

The planting. The watering. The weeding. The harvesting, processing, conditioning, arranging and creating.

There are a lot of little steps between a flower growing in our field and the finished arrangement you hold in your hands.

But getting to stand back at the end of the day and say, “We grew that.”

That part never gets old.

And tomorrow, we do it all over again.

A little late is better than never. 🌸

Our dahlias are finally starting to show us what they’ve got, and we cannot wait to see these beauties bloom. 🌿

They’ve taken their sweet time, but if these first blooms are any indication… they’re going to be worth the wait.

More dahlia goodness coming soon. 👀
