They say life is about the journey and not the destination. I say this weekend it can be about both. You're destination should be Hayden this weekend and take a fun filled journey with us!
FORECAST CONFUSION: As lapse into a summer pattern, I am hearing from many people who have beach trips, outdoor weddings, or plans to attend major outdoor events like the SEC Baseball tournament, or the Alabama Jubilee at Point Mallard.
After one glance at the stock weather app on their phone, they are led to believe it will rain every day, all day, everywhere. Total wash-out. That is NOT the case. Phone weather apps are not helpful with summer convection.
Important points...
*Is there a chance of some rain everyday through Sunday? Yes.
*Will it rain all day on any given day? No.
*Will it rain everywhere each day? No.
Summer storms are usually scattered and totally random, like the ones we have in progress tonight. Some get soaked, many get nothing. This will be the pattern through the holiday weekend.
You will see some sun, they will get the games in, and the big festivals and events will go on. But, just be ready for a rain/lightning delay, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.
This is pretty much our daily weather here through early September.
