People often ask how we came up with our company name and logo. It all began with our owner, Jim Taylor, and his college days spent in Vermont (where people were often outnumbered by cows). One breed of cow stood out from the rest for Jim: the Belted Galloway. Also known as the “Oreo Cow”, the Belted Galloway is a hearty Scottish breed with a striking, white belt around its middle: durable and fas

hionable. If you were to come upon a herd, you’d likely do a double-take at these interesting animals as you go by. Belted Cow Company has the goal of creating belt designs with this same look-twice appeal. Our name and logo are emblematic of our attitude toward design and product development- we will always offer products that allow our customers stand out from the herd.
