The Justice Department sent Montgomery County a letter with a hard noon deadline over its new ban on fi****ms in places of worship: stand down in writing, or face a federal lawsuit without further notice. The ordinance disarms congregants even when they hold a valid Maryland permit and the house of worship itself wants them armed, and a synagogue whose volunteer armed security team just became illegal is already in federal court. That deadline has now passed. What happened next is the question.
