So, October marks our 11th year since we moved into 37 North Centre Street, and 12 years in business on North Centre Str...

So, October marks our 11th year since we moved into 37 North Centre Street, and 12 years in business on North Centre Street Cumberland. (We started at 51 North Centre).

And, we are now the longest running business in our building since before The Bistro.

And, behind the two dance studios (Lepley's and Tammy's), Jamie Walsh's Law Office, the New York Insurance Office, and Ristorante Ottaviani (22 years now) - we are the sixth oldest business on The Block, and the oldest Retailer.

What a journey!

And, every time we think it's time to wrap it up, throw in the towel, and move on.... it isn't.

Life is about change, and as a business - your business MUST be constantly evolving and changing.

Change you must, or die you will!

So, we think October this year is going to be a celebration of change as we continue changing with OPEN Market - The Shops on North Centre. Our new shopping and artisan concept that is offering 6 month leases to new or existing pop-up artisan retail businesses.

And, just as we have for the last 11 years, we want to invite you to come join us as we evolve.

OPEN MARKET Is open every THURSDAY, FRIDAY & SATURDAY from 12-7 PM.

We currently have two tenants, Patricia Crossland of Ten Cows Creamery selling her artwork and farm products; and the Art Studio of Ashleigh Love. (in the process of moving in). And, we plan to add two new tenants each month over the next few months.

So, please make plans to come join us and be a part of our continuing journey in Downtown Cumberland.

Well, guess it is time for us to get our sh__ together and officially re-open Fairfax Rug Company/ Azad's of Cumberland aka The Rug Shop.
