The kick off outfit to Lakewood weekend is actually vintage, even if it's just jeans and a t-shirt. I'm wearing my mom's Tshirt from the original Atlanta Lakewood market at the Lakewood Fairgrounds, now a film studio. It's much too hot in this metal building to go much harder.

I love running Emmylou in person because it gives me a chance to wear all my vintage in person during this crazy time.
My outfit is mostly faking it though! I know the pain of most true vintage not fitting me, or being very out of my price range. My many years of professional costume design has taught me the value of subbing in modern dupes with real accessories! My jacket is a thrift store 1980s set, that I shortened, the silk blouse was found NWT at goodwill, the collar is a real 40s pony hair piece I found antiquing a couple of years ago. My hat is a new acquisition from and I'm totally obsessed with it. I need more outfits just to showcase it. The pin was borrowed from my mom and is 80s meant to look oldey timey.
